Little Dancers

Creative Movement - 2 years old
This is a 45 minute class where our youngest dancers will learn ballet and creative dance movements.The children will use their imaginations to learn different musical rhythms, proper body position, exercises, and steps through song and dance. It is our goal to entertain while we teach a love of movement and a imaginative exploration.The use of fun, age appropriate music engages the young dancer's mind and body, while the use of props will enhance their experience with an added element of FUN!
Ballet 3-4 years old
This class is similar to Creative movement, with now including more ballet exercises and basic ballet terminology while encouraging our young dancers to explore the use of their creative minds in relation to movement .
Ballet/Tap
This is an hour long combination class for our dancers. In this class strength, balance and flexibility are developed, along with a beginning knowledge of ballet. Students will learn the basic ballet barre exercises and steps vocabulary. Also, stretches technique, posture and classical music appreciation as well as an introduction to choreography. While Tap will be making music with your feet! Tap will be fun and upbeat while increasing coordination, rhythm and musicality. Students, beginners to advanced will enjoy the warm-up, center technique and combinations, as well as steps traveling across the floor!
Ballet/Jazz
This is an hour long combination class for our dancers. Students will continue the process of learning ballet technique. The main focuses are learning posture, coordination, and add challenging steps together as well as continuing developing artistry and musical rhythm. While Jazz is an upbeat form of dance that includes technique and skill. It takes high energy and sass to set the theme of the style while students will learn and work on turns, leaps, extensions, balance, and progressions movement across the floor while expressing themselves!
Ballet/Acro
This is an hour long combination class for our dancers. In this class strength, balance and flexibility are developed, along with a beginning knowledge of ballet. Students will learn the basic ballet exercises and steps vocabulary. Also, stretches technique, posture and classical music appreciation as well as an introduction to choreography. The Acro portion of this class will teach students basic acrobatics skills and terminology as well as exercises to increase strength, flexibility, and coordination in a fun and creative environment.This class is perfect for any dancer who also enjoys being upside down!

Lori Zelinsky
Little Dancers
Born and raised in Toms River, New Jersey. Lori started her dance training at the young age of 3. She studied in all genres of dance, becoming a well rounded dancer in all styles. She competed for over 10 years, where she received regional and national recognition at dance competitions throughout the United States. She went on to continue her education from The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey as a double major. She received a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Dance, as well as a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Psychology.
Lori was a member of the Stockton Dance Company where she performed in many student works as well as concerts staged and choreographed by amazing master teachers from around the world. She was also a member of the Monarch Dance Company based out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where they performed though out the Tri-State area.
Lori continued her love for dance and taught many classes throughout New Jersey and Connecticut for over 10 years. She was also the Director of My Gym Parsippany teaching her love of movement in all styles of Dance.
She is honored to be able to pursue her passion for Dance and is very excited for this new opportunity at IDA!!
