Steven Ted Beckler's Acting/Singing Academy

Steven Ted Beckler’s Acting Academy is designed around honest acting.  Each student will work every session in scene work with other students. You are given tools to get out of your head, off the page and into the character, allowing your talent to take over.  One of the most important tools in this process is the Cold Reading Technique designed by Gene Bua. You will be given a technique that will make you confident in your ability to connect with your material and the actor or casting director you are working with at an audition or in the play or screenplay you are performing. Steven Ted Beckler understands both theatre and TV/Film styles of acting and has studied this method of acting with Gene Bua starting in 1984. You have the talent, let’s  guide that talent to work for you.

Steven has had a 35 year career as a singer in theatre and Broadway.  He studied in

Los Angeles: Clark Harris, Shigemi Matsumoto and Peter Pergelides (TV’s “The Voice” Vocal Teacher);

New York: Bill Schuman. Steven Sang on Broadway as Gaston and the Beast in Beauty and the Beast, Max Bialystock, Roger Debris and Franz Liebkind National Tours and many other roles and capacities as a singer.  I teach pure vowels and proper breathing with proper placement.  Results are immediate as this is a long proven technique. Pitch, tone and range are a direct pay offs as well as a technique that will give you a lifetime of healthy singing in all situations.
